Q. What hardware or software do I need to use SBMSCloud?

A. No special hardware is required to use SBMSCloud, any desktop or laptop computer built within the last two or so years should work fine. SBMSCLoud is designed and tested to run on recent versions of Chrome, Firefox, Safari, or Internet Edge. All of these web browsers are free to download and use. Windows or Mac computers are fine to use and most web browsers have compatible versions. We recommend using the latest versions of these browsers as they typically have the highest performance and are most secure. SBMSCloud does require the use javascript which is enabled by default with each of the approved web browsers.

Q. Why don't you have a mobile application for the iPhone or Android phones?

A. We are releasing a management application for both iPhone and Android later this year. However, SBMSCloud is a data entry based solution, there is a lot of data required in creating an invoice, such as customer information, product information, quantities, pricing, inventory transactions, etc., and as such a small touch screen interface does not provide the best interface for conducting this work. The app being released later this year will allow you to control certain aspects of your account and lookup information (for example, open invoices, stock levels, sales tax information, and more) but it will not allow you to create invoices, customer records, vendor records, or inventory transactions.

Q. Can I have additional users added to my account?

A. Yes. When an account is established, the user who created the account is the account owner. The account owner can create additional users in the accountsettings menu. Users can be created that have the ability update, change, and delete information or users can be created with read-only privleges whereby they can view the data system but not alter it in any way.

Q. Can I build a custom invoice?

A. SBMSCloud provides 27 templates for invoices. The invoices styles support square, rectangular, and banner logos, or no logo at all. There are different color themes, and different layouts for information presentation. If the provided templates do not meet your needs, contact us with your requirements and we will review if your needs can be met with a custom template.

Q. My state has unique sales tax rules - does SBMS handle unique sales tax calculations on invoices?

A. Sales tax is handled in layers. At the invoice layer, you can set the invoice to calculate sales tax at a global percentage or consider the entire invoice as tax exempt. At the product layer, each product or service on the invoice can be taxable or tax-exempt, and the sales tax percentage can be set individually.
